  Here is the reason why I decided not to go back to this practice even though I have been going to this facility with high turnover for many years: I have very healthy teeth and gums in general. So the last time (summer 2017) that I was there for a simple 6-month clean-up, I revoked the X-ray as I am quite concerned about any kind of X-ray that are done on a routine basis (which is probably harmless on a single basis but can cause severe harm cumulatively.) The dental hygienist reacted to my objection and pressured me saying that I should have had it done a year ago already. She referred to the dentist and they came back to me saying that moving forward they won't be able to help me as I do not fit with their "culture". So I ended up having to leave as they refused to even provide the cleaning scheduled without the X-Ray. Now, I thought about that for a while... and I was asking myself, if they really cared about their patient why would they refuse to provide the dental cleaning part? Very odd... My take is that I am a patient with too little revenue ($) per appointment. They do not care so much about my well-being, satisfaction or concerns as much as they care about their metric: highest revenue per visit. (I had refused it too many times prior) I have now decided to go to a place where getting X-Ray is provided "as needed" and on an individualized basis. One last note, in the last 10 years or more we have seen all these dentists selling their practice to large organizations, hence the constant turnover after the owner dentist once retired, in my opinion these practices are provided with dental care services that has to fit a profitable profile especially a corporately made profile, it is a very process oriented culture that is not addressing individual best interest.
